At our BERGENDAL Eco & Cultural River Resort, the adjacent Heritage Village and Adventure Centre, as well as in the area around BERGENDAL, guests can enjoy a wide range of nature and culture oriented activities. All of the exiting activities offered at or from our eco-cultural resort, provide participants with challenging and interactive adventures in a fun, safe and ecologically responsible way.

LODGES:

1. Riverfront View: With the numerous large windows and spacious open balcony, guests can continue their enjoyment of the spectacular natural surroundings, straight from the privacy and comfort of their own lodge. Our Riverview Lodges offer a spectacular view of the impressive Suriname River and the peaceful tropical landscape along its river banks.

2. Forest View: Braced on tall wooden pillars, these lodges are built high up against the slope of a hill. Because of their elevated position, these lodges have striking outward appeal and a true tropical rainforest ambiance. Guests staying in these lodges have balconies surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and a bird’s eye view of the natural scenery.

3. Panorama: Positioned at the top of the hill these lodges have the privileged advantage of views to multiple locations in the resort. The natural landscape of the rainforest dominate one side of the lodge’s view, while from the other side, guests can enjoy a panoramic view down into the resort and of the river beyond.

All lodges are equipped with air-conditioning, modern bathroom facilities with hot and cold running water, comfortable bedding with luxurious bed linens, and tasteful tropical furnishings and accessories.

FACILITIES:

1. Restaurant: Our fine restaurant is centrally located near the reception area and the pool area and provides a panoramic view of the Suriname River.

2. Bar & Chill-out Lounge: The Chill-out lounge is the ideal spot for guests who wish to enjoy a leisurely after dinner drink or chat in the enchanting atmosphere created by the cool river breeze, the spectacular views of the moon and stars in the sky and in the reflection of the softly rippling surface of the river.

3. Conference Room: Our Conference Room offers spacious conference and/or banqueting facilities for a variety of activities and/or special occasion events. Gatherings for 5 up to 150 persons can be accommodated for business meetings, conferences, banquets, cultural festivities or other social gatherings such as weddings.

4. Pool: Our beautiful infinity edged pool and surrounding terrace provides relaxing sun and water filled enjoyment to guest’s young and old.

5. Lobby: In our cosy yet spacious open lobby guests can recline comfortably in stylish seating areas while our friendly staff gives a run down of the services and amenities available at the resort.
